Jean-der Swapping

I return!  We'll see how long I stick around this time.
Another caption inspired by the magnificent work of Zouscha.  The picture demanded that I delve into this universe.

Lydia's Story: Jane Austen's Lost Manuscript

I am pleased to present to you all the last of the Edith Bellamy stories, or at least the last of the ones I have been able to find.  I took the time to read it before posting and I must say that while it is a little short in comparison to some of her other works it is one of her best.  So, without further ado, I will leave you to your reading pleasure.

Synopsis:
Jane Austen with a transgender twist! A London insurance actuary falls asleep reading "Pride and Prejudice," and awakens next morning in the middle of the novel, transformed into Lydia Bennet, the youngest of the five Bennet sisters. This Regency tale of male to female transformation takes transgender fiction to new heights. Visit parts of Meryton J.A. never could have imagined! See how the new Lydia copes with early 19th century provincial English life as a buxom 15-year old girl! One of the most memorable transgender stories you'll ever read!

The Berkshire Correspondence Part 1

For your reading pleasure, and mine, I am happy to present to you The Berkshire Correspondence by Edith Bellamy.  This story is set in the 18th century and is told through a series of letters between an aunt and her downtrodden niece.  I admit that I haven't read this story in its entirety, but what I have read I have thoroughly enjoyed.  This is a story in two parts and I will publish the second part when appropriate.

So, without further ado, I leave you to your reading.

The Vagina Dialogues

For your reading pleasure:
Edith Bellamy's
The Vagina Dialogues
This is an interview transcript of one Amanda R. who wakes up one morning as a woman.  Pretty standard story for today, but I rather enjoyed the format.

Edit: I'm not entirely sure why I gave this caption a sub-title.  You can think of this as either a first foray into another universe that I'm creating or as a caption with two titles.  I will say that it is most likely the former.

The Tiresias Factor

This time the next story is one that I really haven't read.  When it came time to include it in the poll I took it upon myself to read the work.  I only got through the first chapter.  This seems like it might be one of her earlier works.
So now, after I have done such an amazing job of building this story up... For your reading pleasure: "The Tiresias Factor"
BTW I would skip the Foreward.

The Graduate Education of Malcolm Covington

For your reading pleasure, I am pleased to present: "The Graduate Education of Malcolm Covington."  I have been looking forward to posting this story since I started posting these stories.  It is the tale of a college professor who enjoys offering... "extra-credit" to his female students.

The Butterfly Tattoo

Edith Bellamy's "The Butterfly Tattoo."  Not one of my personal favorites of hers, but I wasn't the one deciding on what story to post.  It is interesting in that there is a racial change along with the gender which is unusual for her work.  In any case, read and enjoy.

What Gilbert Got for Christmas

I am pleased to present to you this next story by Edith Bellamy: "What Gilbert Got for Christmas." I realize that this is a little late for Christmas, but tough.  It wasn't really a plan to post this for the holiday, you all voted for it like crazy, so it's your fault.  If I had realized that it would be the obvious choice at the beginning of December, I would have probably tried a little harder to get it up in time, but alas.  Anyway, enjoy this late Christmas gift from me to all of you.

Pink Gladiolas

I am pleased to present, for your reading pleasure, "Pink Gladiolas" by Edith Bellamy.  This story holds a special place in my heart.  This was the very first piece of TG fiction that I ever read.  I hope you enjoy it as much as I did all of those years ago.
As always, be sure to vote for the next story that I will be posting.

Circe's Mirror

I am proud to present to you, the next story by Edith Bellamy:
Circe's Mirror
This is the story of an ill-fated archeological dig on an island in the Aegean Sea off the coast of Greece. They unearth an ancient chamber and unwittingly awaken the witch Circe who decides to exact her revenge.  This is an illustrated story with several paintings used to depict portions of the story.  Many of the original images were lost when the story was archived so I had to find new images online, I was lucky enough to find several of the original images through Google and Wikipedia but at least one was irreplaceable.  If any of you have a copy of this story with the original images intact I would greatly appreciate you sharing them with me.  But, without further ado I am proud to present to you Edith Bellamy's Circe's Mirror.

The Elphinstone Formula Epilogue

Here, for your reading pleasure, is the final part of Edith Bellamy's Elphinstone Formula. This is much shorter than the previous sections being only a little over four pages in length. It has been my pleasure to return this great story to the world wide web and it saddens me a little to be done with it. To that end, I have delved back into the depths of the old internet and dredged up more of Edith's old stories. If you haven't yet, please check out the poll to the right and vote on which story you want me to post next. Here's the epilogue, I hope you enjoy it.
